If the cards you care about most are the premium versions, the Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Collector Booster is where the set turns the dial up. Collector Boosters are built around foils, higher rarities and special treatments, giving collectors a concentrated way to chase the most visually distinctive versions of cards from across the Star Trek universe.

Each pack contains 15 Magic cards. Wizards has previewed a range of treatments for the release, including Star Trek-inspired presentation such as LCARS-style designs and other showcase treatments tied to the franchise. Collector Boosters are the product aimed at finding these premium finishes and harder-to-find versions, although the exact contents and rarity mix will vary from pack to pack.

That makes this a very different opening from a standard Play Booster. Rather than being designed primarily around Draft play, the focus is the spectacle of the cards themselves: characters you recognise, iconic imagery, foil finishes and the possibility of opening one of the set’s standout collector pieces.
